Meet Zelda
My own experiences with mental health treatment led me to this field. Having worked through my own struggles with disorder and dysfunction, to rebuild and re-imagine my self, I have a deep understanding of the treatment that individuals facing mental health crises may encounter. While I know we have not walked the same path, my also being on this path informs my work as a therapist and all I do.
On the more personal side, I am originally from Massachusetts. Before studying counseling, I taught elementary, middle and high school for 23 years. I have a high-school-age son and a perky pup. Both keep me on my toes. From teaching and parenting, I’ve learned a lot about human behavior and how to work with others -what is encouraging and what is not. I bring both my professional, and personal, experience to my practice of therapy.
