My Therapeutic Style
First, and foremost, I aim to bring my authentic, genuine self to our therapeutic relationship. I believe in you. I am here to truly listen to you, reflect your thoughts and feelings back to you, and create a safe space for you to examine your story and understand your self more fully. Only when we feel truly heard and understood can we feel safe to envision new possibilities.
The therapeutic modalities I primarily use include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). ACT has an emphasis on growing one’s psychological flexibility and CBT and CPT focus on examining the interaction of our thoughts, feelings and actions and how these impact our day-to-day experiences.
I also often recommend readings, and other resources to support you in your journey of growth and change.
